Toru electric juicer

It consists of two complex, minimalist parts - a stainless steel body and a transparent lid. The Toru juicer demonstrates Nendo's ability to transform abstract concepts into tangible forms. In Japanese, "toru" means "through" and with this juicer, a black, tube-like element seems to pierce the lid, becoming its handle and protruding from the steel body to act as a spout. This object is complex to produce, as the linear design requires a particularly difficult manufacturing process. Nendo is a design firm based in Tokyo, Japan and Milan, Italy. Nendo designed the Olympic Altar for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Selected works that Nendo has been involved in designing are featured in museums around the world, such as MoMA in New York, Centre Pompidou in Paris, Victoria & Albert in London, and others. Nendo worked on the design of the French TGV high-speed train in preparation for the 2024 Paris Olympics and served as executive producer and designer of the Japan Pavilion for the 2025 World Expo in Osaka, Japan.
